What I Saw On 911
Available in small prints
or large size giclees
What I saw on 9/11 was a bunch of businessmen and businesswomen, working mothers and fathers, men, women, and children all suffering a horrible maddening inexplicable few final moments of human existence.

This is not one of my favorite paintings because it so ugly. I try to imagine myself being the man falling headfirst into infinity from the scorching flames burning him like the flames of hell in the heavens above the NYC skyline. His image is ingrained in my mind like a throbbing headache every time I pick up a brush and attempt to finish this painting of what I imagined he saw crumbling in his mind on the day of that horrifically shameful event in human history.

The nails on the sock represent Jesus being nailed to the Cross for Human Greed & Political Corruption. The thumbtacks symbolize the modern crucifixion and torture imposed on every victim of the WORLD Trade Center TRAGEDY on 9/11 in the year of Our Lord 2002 for the same DAMN REASONS!

What if Christ was the man diving headfirst from the Top of the Babylonian Tower that fateful day. Would there be a golden charm of a man diving into infinity next to the golden charm of a cross around the necks of those expecting the third coming of Christ?
I am presently working on a sculpture that I plan to do in tribute of the worldwide victims of greed and deception that suffered on that day, based on the oddly calming image of that man flying through the sky to meet his fate. I plan to donate it to the family of the man in that picture who to me is a muse and a stranger but to them was somebody loved.

I reckon this piece will continue to get much criticism from people who just don’t realize that this one isn’t finished yet, and I doubt I ever will in my lifetime, and I hope to God I never do because this one is just to ugly to revisit.
There are several things going on this painting all at once chaotic, crazy, and seemingly nonsensical and without correlation or connection but if studied closely truly intertwined.
